Born on August 14 1914 in Kripalpur Satna district (Madhya Pradesh) he confronted adversity early on even enduring imprisonment for a bold act against his school principal. Tragically his mothers spiritual journey in Prayag deepened Padmadhars commitment.</br></br>
Driven by an enduring love for his motherland he made a solemn vow not to marry until India achieved freedom believing that raising children in servitude would dishonor the nation. On August 12 1942 while leading a student rally Padmadhar met his heroic end struck down by police bullets.</br></br>
Ramesh Pratap Singh Jakhis evocative prose and poetry capture the essence of Padmadhars life ensuring his memory endures. Sumitra Nandan Pant paid tribute to Padmadhars selfless sacrifice in Prayag on March 11 1958 affirming that the bedrock of freedom is built upon acts of self-sacrifice.</br></br>
