Americanization

The book focuses on the currently popular sociological phenomenon Americanization. The author aims to analyse the reasons for the spread of American culture and American system of values in general. In its attempt to establish the prerequisites for the expansion of the ideas and norms made in the USA the work covers economic social political and cultural spheres of life where certain traits of Americanization can be identified. Considering the reaction of the cultures receiving American values the book comes to a conclusion that Americanization is a process of ambivalent nature. The readers are encouraged to find out about the influence (constructive or destructive) that Americanization entails.
