Amidst the Holocaust

Dr. Ramesh Pokhrival Nishank who has been the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and presently the Member of Parliament from Haridwar has in-depth knowledge of both literature and politics. He has written more than four dozen poetry collection prose collection and novels till date. His literary works have been translated into foreign languages such as French Russian German Nepali and English as well as regional languages like Tamil Telugu Kannada Sanskrit and Marathi. His works find place in the syllabi of several universities and many universities also have research work being conducted on his works. He has been honoured by three Presidentsof our country at Rashtrapati Bhawan for Excellence in Literary Creation. In India and abroad as well he has received the titles of Bharat Gaurav Sahitya Bharti Rashtra Gaurav and Sahityacheta and the Mauritius Sammaan and Gopio Extraordinary Achievement Award from the Mauritius government.
