An Abridged History of the United States

With the selection of George Walker Bush as President by the Supreme Court a very significant point was reached in American history. The disputed election that was decided by the Supreme Court by a vote of 5 to 4 which under the Constitution has no authority to select a President put into power a group of neoconservatives who used the 9/11 event to become engaged in two prolonged wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. These two wars have killed over 6000 American soldiers injured over 30000 American soldiers and have engendered an ideological conflict with the Arab Muslim world that will probably last for decades.
