An Artist's Journey

I Migrated To Johannesburg In South Africa From London When I Was Twenty-One Years Old. The Air Was Sultry And The Smell Of Africa Hit My Nostrils With A Twang. I Was Not Expecting It To Be So Soon. The Sights And Sounds Of Africa Have Influenced My Life And Art Since Then. A Great Love Of The African Savanna Lay In My Bosom From That Moment.. Many Days Later When My Sister And I Had Collected Ourselves We Wandered Out To Greet The African People In The Town. The One Thing That Would Prove To Us That We Were In Africa Were The Sweet-Spoken Natives. They Were Kind And Very Helpful Through All My Years There. Strangely We Would Later Find That The Change In Seasons Did Not Occur—That Was Something To Adjust To Which I Never Did.
