The trial of Eutalia Page and George Strangewidge (along with their accomplices) was one of the most celebrated legal events in an age noted for its very public administration of justice. Yet sadly four and a half centuries after these tragic events took place so little is known of this couple whose names are mere footnotes in mouldering local history books.. Based on a true story this novel tells of the young couples short lives so manipulated and betrayed by those they had put their trust in and respected born into an age when a young girl was merely a possession where she could be married off without having any say and ‘used’ for her fathers own financial gain.. Eutalia and George had a love so strong it controlled them which eventually lead to their tragic demise. A love story intertwined with some of the major events in the History of Elizabethan England “Eternity” takes the reader back through the hardship of a country emerging from years of war famine and religious persecution. Set in rural England amongst the Landed Gentry right through to the fields of battle in Spain..
