With advancement of technology USG has come up with more technical improvisation which makes the images more understandable and accurate.In the end of this study ultrasonography has showed impressive result in diagnosis of head and neck swellings what we regularly come acrossUSG showed remarkable result in diagnosis of salivary gland disorders such as sialolithiasis and sialadenitis. Diagnostic finding in sjogren’s syndrome was very unique. Diagnosis of cystic lesions vascular lesions benign tumors were accurateIn vascular lesion it has precisely showed the pathology and pathology in artery or venous structures with accurate velocity.In metastatic lymph nodes USG has proven promising result with size margin hilum vascularity internal changes within nodesTherefore ultrasonographic examinations which have relatively high sensitivity and specificity should be used to supplement clinical examination in patients with head and neck swellings to arrive at a final diagnosis keeping in mind its several advantages over other modalities as it is widely available non-ionizing non-invasive easy-to-use inexpensive and easily reproducible and repeatable.
