An Exploration of Receiving Funding in Elite Sport in South Africa

This study provides insight into the experiences of elite South African athletes and sport managers when it comes to the funding support of elite sport in the country. All participants involved had either won medals at international competitions or had coached or managed athletes who had won medals at international level. International lessons of experience from Great Britain and Australia are also presented.
