An Imminent and Dangerous Quest

<p>Dr. Robert White is just leaving Running Springs California after consulting with Nick Dutton a climatologist conservationist and friend about data from ice cores extracted during Nick's recent polar expedition. <p>Going down a winding road in the San Bernardino Mountains Dr. White witnesses a high-speed car chase that ends with Nick's death and an incomplete note explaining Nick's desperate getaway attempt.
