The development of intercultural communicative competence has become one of the main tenets in the teaching of English as a foreign language (EFL) over the last two decades. Teachers are becoming aware that one of the main goals of language teaching is to enable learners to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Therefore it becomes a prerequisite to equip learners with intercultural awareness and intercultural competence so that they will eventually be more able to integrate different cultural practices. This volume tends to provide a general overview of Moroccan students’ intercultural knowledge in order to explore and assess students’ ICC level analyze the problems students have with their intercultural communicative competence and the essential reasons that resulted in the students’ failures in intercultural communication. It also endeavours to explore implications for classroom practice.
