Should she choose her new-found love she must avoid capture. And when guns eventually fall silent having made this choice she would have to endure her people's scorn.

As Nelie tries to avoid capture and make sense of a forbidden love her youth and inexperience carry her into the world of an outcast and traitor. To regain everything she values Nelie risks losing love - a sacrifice which may not be enough to lead her to a place of peace contentment and acceptance.
