Analysis of dental esthetics and its relationship to self-esteem

In today's society beauty has determined many aspects of life correlating it with the patient's level of self-esteem comfort and health. For which facial aesthetics is concerned with studying the level of beauty of the face. Therefore a dental aesthetics is much more than just part of our physical appearance therefore it has been shown with their studies the importance of aesthetics in personal social and even professional relationships. Many young people who need orthodontic treatment can create barriers and complexes that become an impediment to meet the challenges of their growth as can also cause the creation of a negative self-image which affects interpersonal relationships and low self-esteem to relate. The Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI) designed in the late 1980s and introduced around the 1990s is possibly the most widely used.Self-esteem although it is true that at this time it is a very important issue to address because under various parameters it is an important social problem in youth in that sense it is important to be analyzed.
