To test and further explore the factors of mutation-promoting a large number of experimental DNA samples from five populations (Africa America Europe East Asia and South Asia) were subjected to statistical analysis in this book. The mainly research works are as follows:a. Explore the changing trend of GC content of the human genome under the influence of mutations.b. Assess whether the high mutation rate of C->T (C mutation is T the same below) caused by CpG methylation will cause the CpG in the genome to be depleted.c. Explore the influence of context sequence on relative mutation rate.d. Verify the Indels (insertion/deletion) mutagenesis hypothesis.
