Analysis of Ribosomal Inactivating Proteins from Bougainville sps.

In this study RIPs were isolated from the root of Bougainvillea spectabilis and its action on the rRNA of E. coli and S. cerevisiea was determined. The Protein was purified by CM Sephadex Column Chromatography and quantified by Braford’s method and its electrophoretic mobility and their molecular weight were determined by SDS PAGE and Native gel.
