The basic school must allow the child to expand his or her awareness of time space the objects of the modern world and his or her own body. The initiation and mastery of the two official languages first Creole and then French contributes to the student''s openness to the world (MENJS 2005 p. 4). At this level of education the distribution of teachers according to urban centers to the detriment of rural areas is one of the major handicaps affecting the quality of education in Haiti. By continuing education we mean any training activity or program that through its objectives and pedagogical approaches allows any person individually or in association with an organization to achieve continuing education as defined above. In this context a semi-structured interview guide was developed to interview two teachers in two different institutions in Jean-Rabel. Finally the analysis of the data allowed us to understand the functioning of the targeted schools the teachers'' difficulties their pedagogical training needs and the teaching conditions.
