Analysis of the implementation of the Community Animation Cells

The community-based nutrition programme (NAC) is a multisectoral approach to combat malnutrition in all its forms. Its implementation requires the strengthening of community participation bodies including the Community Animation Cells (CACs) which once empowered will induce accompany and maintain a dynamic within the community. The aim of this approach is to ensure that the CACs and the community take ownership of the NAC project in order to ensure the sustainability of the project''s achievements after the withdrawal of the supervising NGO.
