Analysis of the mechanical properties of concrete with oyster shells

Crassostrea oyster shells which are commercially exploited in the Moralillo Municipality of Panuco Veracruz represent a contamination problem. After consuming the edible part of the oyster people discard the shells in the streets or in public places and even in landfills causing a bad appearance poor hygiene and the spread of pests. Therefore this research aims to provide a solution to this contamination problem and to recycle this waste to obtain a material for environmental purposes for use in the production of hydraulic concrete and to evaluate the impact it may have on its mechanical properties.
