During the research for this paper it was found that language institutes and educational institutions offering language courses experience high teacher turnover. Some language trainers leave their jobs after only a few months. In order to mitigate this problem employee retention measures should help to reduce high turnover maintain the motivation of language trainers at work and thus ensure that they remain with the organisation. This bachelor thesis deals with this topic. Based on theoretical and empirical findings the process of recruiting and selecting personnel in language institutes is also examined in more detail.
