Analytical methods for assessing the risk of hereditary diseases

The publication suggests some new approaches to assessing the risk of hereditary diseases based on analysis of genotypes of candidate genes. The proposed methods are not based on the principles of data mining or machine learning instead certain statistical tools are used including a posteriori distributions and hypothesis testing. The mutual influence of genes in assessing the risk of disease is fully taken into account. The results of calculations based on simulated and real data confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.
