Lucas the head of security is on her side but one by one her list of allies and friends diminishes until she feels surrounded by enemies. In doing so she learns secrets that the world has long since forgotten secrets that terrify not just her but also the gods. Yet nothing seems to be able to tell her what's causing the unrest as it escalates into violence. </span></p><p></p><p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1); background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1)>If she can't figure out what's at the root of the problem what's happening in the Athenaeum could spread to the rest of the world and that is something she won't allow to happen. Even if it costs her everything.</span></p>
