<p>In this volume poet and philosopher Jennifer Lisa Vest explores history ancestry racism identity traditonal culture modernity sexuality gender indigeneity and blackness thought the lens of hybridity and mulitipositionaity. She names and claims decries and protests the histories of her people in a effort to teach the beauty of oneness through a celebration of difference. By provoking  challenging and interrupting both modern and traditional narratives these poems take the reader on an unsettling and eye-opening narrative journey.
