Anchuvilakku

Anchuvilakku is a book by C.A. Krishnan on Thrissur's history and heritage. Narrating interesting anecdotes Mr. Krishnan takes readers on a tour of the land. The journey takes them along the Swaraj Round which was named so during the freedom struggle; through shrines (Sree Vadakkuntha temple Paramekkavu temple Thiruvambadi Temple Mithunappilly Siva Temple Ashokeswara temple Kulassery Veliyannur and Irattachira temples and the Koorkkenchery Sree Maheswara temple founded by Sree Narayana Guru); through churches (Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Dolours and Lourdes Metropolitan Cathedral); through various institutions such as Banerjee Club Kerala Sahitya Akademi complex which formerly housed the District Court; and the Thekkinkad Maidan.
