Pamela orphaned at six is sent to boarding school by her uncle. She experiences cruelty by her peers and teachers. She feels totally abandoned. She is convinced that there is a better way of teaching. By chance she discovers the Maria Montessori teaching method enrolls at the academy and graduates as a teacher. A surprise inheritance from a stranger introduces Pamela to her future husband Andrew. From her late mother Pamela inherits a school in India.
