<p>Almost dying leaves Susie in a confused world full of Ghosts and Spirits. Strangely she can see the dead and discovers that she has the power to send them to the Gate and thus the Afterworld. There seem to be an inordinate number of such Spirits crowding around her demanding that she do her duty but first she must learn what it is. With the help of her best friend Kimberly she learns what this new job entails and how to let go of the world as she knows it.</p>
