Animating with Kenyan Sign Language aims to tailor design principles for animated works made in sign language; focusing on Kenyan Sign Language (KSL). Further this book ties that focus towards the ideal design principles within animation pedagogy. Readers of this book will gain helpful insight into building deaf learners’ cognition. This book grew from the author’s discovery of the nuanced motions carrying far more weight in signed animation than the conventional counterpart. Sign language from an animator’s perspective posed an exciting opportunity to animate a story founded entirely on a visual language.
