Annual Report on BEIJING-TIANJIN-HEBEI Development (2024)

Promoting high-quality industrial synergy is crucial for establishing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) region as a pioneer in Chinese modernization. This report examines the progress challenges and pathways for such development defining its core features as innovation-driven growth optimized resource allocation intensive production and strong momentum. While progress is evident-with clearer regional division of labor and emerging industrial clusters-key challenges remain including developmental imbalances weak cluster development and innovation-resource disparities. To address these the report proposes deepening industry-innovation chain integration strengthening key industrial chains leveraging clusters to boost collaboration enhancing free trade zone synergy and fostering regional innovation networks to solidify BTH's role as a demonstration zone for high-quality development.
