Anorectal malformations

The Ano Rectal Malformations (ARM) are a group of defects from the ani-recto and genitourinary tract where the imperforated anus is the defect more evident that why with frequency in some books Imperforated Anus give the name to these group of malformations. The defect could be minor and easy treated with excellent functional prognostic but in complex cases the treatment is difficult frequently associated to a poor functional prognostic. ARM is frequently associated with other congenital anomalies such as cardiac genitourinary bones and digestive malformations.
