Pregnant women are special category of people because of the anatomical and physiological changes that happens to the body in this state. This sometimes necessitates the use of medication especially antibiotics. Medications (especially antibiotics) has to be chosen with great caution with risk and safety considerations guiding the choice. This book tried to find out how antibiotics are prescribed in pregnant women visiting antenatal clinic at a tertiary Hospital in Makurdi North Central Nigeria.
