<p>Nothing says success like waking up in your new landlord's bed after breaking into his house thinking it was yours am I right? Perfect Goldilocks moment. I blame the fact I had to sell my home I'm working double overtime and I'm completely exhausted.</p><p></p><p>It's fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine.</p><p></p><p>And surprisingly so is the reclusive broody ex-soldier who's now my neighbor and landlord. Stone's been through hell and climbed his way out again. He's strong thoughtful and so different from what I once assumed.</p><p></p><p>He also proves himself to be someone I can trust and for a woman who can't trust her own family that's no small thing. His friendship and support eases some of the burden I've been living under for months. When our relationship blooms into more I feel truly safe for the first time in ages.</p><p></p><p>I've always wanted someone of my own. But just when I've finally found him my past comes back with a vengeance and leaves me stranded without a safety net.</p><p></p><p>But there's no choice here. I was a goner from the day I woke up in Stone's bed. I'm claiming some happiness while I can. I just have to survive long enough to take it.</p>
