The title of this book was first seen in The Peony Pavilion the legendary (play) by Tang Xianzu a playwright in the Ming Dynasty from which it can be inferred that the book was written no later than the Ming Dynasty.</p><p><br></p><p>The book is composed of aphorisms maxims and proverbs which have an abundant resource of views and thoughts bringing together the wisdom and philosophy of life of the ancient Chinese.</p>
