Application of Microencapsulation in Textiles

From an etymological point of view the word micro-encapsulation originates from the Greek mikros and the Latin en and capsula which mean small in a small box. Micro-encapsulation is a process by which an active substance is surrounded or coated with a continuous polymeric material also called shell. The active substance or core material may be a fiery ground solid tiny droplet of liquid or gaseous material.
