Application of stochastic processes for some effects in quantum optics

About The Book

Real laser is never perfectly monochromatic so in experiments one need to research on the influence of spectral width of the laser to different phenomena. The laser field is usually modeled by Gaussian processes both in accordance with the classical central limit theorem and easy to calculate. However exact analytical averaging of stochastic equations with Gaussian process is a difficult task. Practically only the extreme case of white noise has been well researched. Pregaussian noise method is usually used to obtain the exact analytical average even in the case of high nonlinearity of the problem. This book models the relevant fields by white noise in considering the different quantum optical phenomena which have applications for quantum information namely Fano structure and electromagnetically induced transparency. These effects are currently they are still topical questions. In addition this book also models the influence of the environment on atomic systems on an example of considering collisions with the buffer gas and also considers the generation of monochromatic Raman ring laser even when the stimulated field has large width by pregaussian noise method.
