Applied Poetics

A philosophically-charged compendium of original literature including aphorisms poems and prose. Between its aphorisms inspired by Nietzsche poems inspired by James Kavanaugh and Joseph Brodsky and short stories inspired by theatrical absurdism this book posits a philosophical method for appraising and justifying a-scientific beliefs in an increasingly scientific world. It attemps to do so by appealing to the sociobiological utility of and existential freedoms in privately-held beliefs. It offers century-long standstills in philosophy--e.g. the debate over the existence of God--an alternate means of operation and resolution that in the author's words evolves such debates from black-and-white standard-definition into UHD 4K color.
