Applied strategies in subtitling of an Iranian Series Zero Point Orbit

The development of the multimedia technologies let the audiovisual translation (AVT) attracts the world attention. Gottlieb (2001) stresses the need for a quantitative dialogue reduction particularly considering that the speech tempo on the screen is usually higher than what can be put as subtitles considering the constraints of time and space. This book attempts to analyze the Persian to English subtitling of a TV series at a Micro-contextual level which let the authors to breakdown the film into its frames cuts and sequences and conduct a detailed analysis of the translation strategies applied in this TV series.
