The role of Azhwars in Tamil devotional literature is immense. From the 7th to 9th century AD the Azhwars worshipped  the God as well as the language.In the nectar language Tamil they sung Lord Vishnu &  played a vital role in the spread of Vaishnavam in Tamil Nadu They believed that Vaishnavam was the only Clan & Lord Vishnu was the only God. Thus they removed all differences amongst people & worship  Nadamunigal segregated the work on all Azhwars into a single collection called “ Nalaayira Divya Prabhandam” This literature deals with devotion and the love of Language equally & describes the life of Azhwars in the beautiful language Tamil.This book would be the small drop of the ocean and will empower the readers to understand the beauty of Azhwars and their literature work.
