Archaeological Settlement Pattern of Suratgarh Tehsil Ganganagar

Chapter 1 is introductory and contains a brief account of geographical background of the region physical features drainage geology underground water hydrographic changes soil. Chapter 2 includes the field work conducted by the researcher. Each site is discussed with special reference to its location with correct geo-coordinates size of the site cultural sequence etc. Chapter 3 contains various type of studies viz. rank size frequency categorization of the site locational analysis nearest neighbor analysis and spacing between sites. Chapter 4 is devoted to the study of ceramics which includes Pre-Harappan Early Harrapan and Mature Harrapan Late Harrapan Printed Grey Ware its associated wares and Historical pottery. Chapter 5 incorporates the study of miscellaneous finds viz. beads of various material bangles terracotta sling balls discs cakes toy-cart frames and wheels gamesman stone objects copper objects etc. Chapter 6 contains the history of the region reconstructed on the basis of the archaeological studies along with the other material. Chapter 7 has the conclusion drawn by the researcher.
