Architecture In the Age of Glocalization

In the last two decades architecture in the Arab world has undergone dramatic changes driven by three major paradigms; globalization environment and technology. However these changes seem to ignore the rich architectural heritage of the region especially Islamic architecture to replicate the same western building forms and concepts. This book discusses the current state of Arab contemporary architecture then reviews computational design as an innovative design tool highlights its potentials to revisit regional architecture in a contemporary manner Evaluates various regional case studies then concludes a design framework to achieve balance between the three design dimensions (Computation Sustainability and Regionalism).
