Army Life 1943 to 1946

In 1943 eighteen-year-old George Anderson received his draft notice and entered the U.S. Army. This is the story of his experiences in basic training his combat duty as a member of the Army's Field Artillery and his participation in the post-war occupation of Japan all told from the first-hand perspective of the soldier himself. In addition to the first-hand narrative the book contains numerous photos from the time.
