This cookbook is different to most. Whilst some of the dishes will be familiar to you many will not. Wherever possible I sought to bring something different to these pages. The other way in which this book differs is that I am not a professional chef but an aircraft engineer and author. In 1872 Phileas Fogg wagered twenty-thousand pounds that he could circumnavigate the world in just eighty days. Of course Phileas Fogg was a fictitious character created by the French author Jules Verne but our journey is real. Inspired by the book Around the World in Eighty Days I sought out stunning starters mighty main courses and delightful desserts from all over the globe.Maybe you think some of these dishes will be beyond your abilities I think not. I prepared cooked and photographed every dish in this book. There are no glossy unattainable results here.
