About The Book

The book explain the the toxicity effect of sodium arsenite in fresh water fish Channa punctatus and the ameliorative effect of aqueous garlic extract (AGE) by observing the surface ultra-structural changes in arsenic induced Channa punctatus. The traditional use of garlic with its antioxidant anticarcinogenic hepatoprotective properties has been used in the revival of arsenic toxicity. Ultrastructural studies of Gill Liver Kidney and intestine tissues of Channa punctatus exposed to sodium arsenite and Aqueous Garlic Extract (AGE) were explained through Scanning Electron Microscopy.
