About The Book

The Art of Thinking explains different ways how people think. Each chapter deals with one thinking technique. The book highlights the importance of using thinking techniques in day-to-day life. The chapters end with suggestions and exercises to improve your thinking skills. This book avoids theoretical jargon and emphasizes the practical implementation of the skills. Throughout the book, I have taken examples from real-life situations so that the readers can relate to the events and “feel” the book. Most of the exercises and suggestions mentioned in this work are my own which I have suggested to my students on various occasions. The book primarily caters to students, regardless of age, striving to enhance their mental performance. Since the inputs of the book are based on my personal experience, I am sure that every reader will find some nuggets of information from this book. If you are short of time, you may review the lesson summary before browsing through the relevant section. I have arranged the chapters in a manner where the foundation of all thinking techniques is discussed first, followed by the four pillars of thinking which are logical reasoning, critical thinking, visual thinking, and emotional thinking. Thereafter three chapters on application of the thinking skills are covered. These include creativity, problem-solving, and decision-making. Finally, I have included a chapter on the mindset of continuous learning.
