Artifacts can appear on histological slides in various forms and shapes and may often resemble either fungal hyphae or any tissue which was not supposed to be present at the given location. So there is a need to identify these artifacts so that the pathologist doesn’t confuse them with any part of the tissue specimen kept for examination. In this book we have tried to compile most of the artifacts that are encountered during the evaluation of histopathologic slides and to avoid any misdiagnosis.
