Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Applications

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most transformative technologies of the 21st century influencing almost every sector of human life. AI refers to the development of computer systems or machines capable of performing tasks that normally require human intelligence such as learning decision-making problem-solving perception and language understanding. The evolution of AI-from simple rule-based systems to advanced machine learning and neural networks-has enabled machines to analyze massive datasets recognize patterns and make autonomous decisions with remarkable accuracy.AI can be broadly classified into three categories based on its capabilities. Narrow AI also known as Weak AI is designed to perform specific tasks with intelligence such as voice assistants like Siri or Alexa spam filters in email systems or recommendation engines on platforms like YouTube. General AI or Strong AI represents a system with human-like cognitive abilities capable of learning and thinking across multiple domains. While General AI remains largely theoretical it continues to be an active area of research.
