Master Project Studio: Professor A. Andia Department of Architecture Florida International University Spring 2014 Artist Villa is designed in a rural area in Central Mexico and promotes the idea that creativity arises as a natural response to the stimuli of our environment. With a consistent pattern that prevails as the exterior envelope of the different buildings the design intent is to provide the artist a space of retreat in an adapting environment. Through a simple exploration of light color movement and form as design elements the Artist Villa is a mystic space that is conducive to various forms of creativity. Just as art arises the architecture of this project emerges from simple geometry to ultimately arrive at its own complexity.
