The book is an in-depth study conducted about two of the Effutu Festivals thus Aboakyer (deer hunt) and Akomase. It highlights the artistic elements involved in the festivals in relation to the culture canons and philosophies of the Effutus of Ghana. It looked at the visual arts performing arts and verbal arts used during the celebration. It gives a detailed account of the day to day activities origin and the history of the festivals and Effutus in general. Effutus of Ghana are noted for their artistic colorful competitive and fanciful celebrations. The arts in their festivals have cultural origins attached to them. The Aboakyer festival for instance is one of the notable hunting festivals in the world. It draws people from all walks of life to Winneba during the celebration.
