This book examines the causes of communal conflicts stages of conflicts and the effects of these conflicts on society. Despite the fact that communal conflicts are largely preventable attention is yet to be directed towards communal conflicts preventive measures; hence societies are experiencing increase in communal conflicts. This book outlines the major effects of communal conflicts which include retardation of development insecurity loss of lives and property low productivity disunity and displacement of people. Traditional Authorities need to be resuscitated by government and policy makers since they are in better position in addressing such issues than resorting to the law courts.
