Association Studies for Seed Cotton Yield in Upland Cotton

This book covers association studies between seed cotton yield and its component traits to identify the stable genotypes for seed cotton yield. The experimental material consisted of thirty diverse genotypes or elite breeding lines of upland cotton were grown in three environments by manipulating dates of sowing. The material was planted in Randomized Block Design replicated thrice at the cotton research area of CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar. Genotype H 1505 was found to be stable and suitable for all types of environments and also deserves attention of the plant breeders for inclusion in breeding programme as adaptable and stable genotype for seed cotton yield.
