She has also written three works of non-fiction: </span><em style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>The Last Frontier: People and Forests in Mizoram</em><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)> (1996) </span><em style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Strictly Personal</em><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)> (2014) a memoir of her parents Manmohan Singh and Gursharan Kaur and </span><em style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)>Asylum: The Battle for Mental Healthcare in India</em><span style=color: rgba(15 17 17 1)> (2021). She lives in Delhi with her husband and dog.</span></p>
