In the early decades of the twentieth century the small town of Manatí was labeled as the Atenas de Puerto Rico (the Athens of Puerto Rico) due to its rich cultural and artistic life. Through a series of antique and vintage imagesthis book provides a visual overview of the social historical economic and cultural development that made Manatí famous during that period. It includes photographs antique postcards and images of vintage publications of the period.
