ATHEROSCLEROSIS YET CHYLOMICRONS LARGE

The book presents an overview of research activities undertaken to discover the causes and mechanism of atherosclerosis over the past half-century. As we can see we didn''t get too close to the goal set. Namely atherosclerosis or its effects on the human organism is still the number one disease in the number of deaths in the human population with a not-so-optimistic prognosis. In this review I am trying to point out the numerous delusions that led to the current situation in this scientific field which is the result of misjudgements and the wrong direction in which the research started. The orientation to research endogenous lipoproteins as the cause of this disease and to give up research into the role of chylomicron in this process was certainly a big mistake. There are too many facts including all aspects of this process in both physiological and physical and biochemical terms indicating this conclusion.The book is intended for students and young researchers to encourage them to think and take action to address the challenges of researching such a significant and still insufficiently explored area of our organism.
